Make a 'First Day Feelings' Classroom Display

What you need

• VELCRO® Brand Stick On Tape
• Our free printables
• Astronauts
• Rockets
• Planets
• Title
• Colouring pencils
• Large sheet of black paper
• Display border roll

What to do

Start by setting up the background for your display! Cover your display board in a large piece of black paper and attach a border. We'd recommend doing this with VELCRO® Brand Stick On Coins to make your displays easy to take down and replace with a new one!

Then download and print our free printable planets, rockets and astronauts. Stick the four 'first day feelings' rockets at the bottom of the display and stick one side of a long strip of VELCRO® Brand Stick On Tape above each one. 

And now for the fun part! Give a printable astronaut and some colouring pencils to each child and ask them to draw their face on it. 

Stick a small piece of VELCRO® Brand Stick On Tape on the back of each finished astronaut and ask each child to stick their astronaut on the display, above the rocket that indicates how they're feeling on their first day of school!
