Settle the favourite child argument once and for all with this funny DIY gift idea for Mother's Day!
Super quick and easy to make with VELCRO® Brand Stick On for Fabrics Tape , this DIY favourite child t-shirt has an interchangeable patch where mum can stick the name of her favourite child.
It's perfect for mums whose favourite child changes on a daily basis and if her favourite isn't one of the kids, she can put the name of the dog! Read on to find out what to do.
Lay a plain-coloured t-shirt on the table and place a piece of cardboard inside to stop fabric paint running through to the back of the t-shirt.
Take some fabric paint (ideally in a squeezy bottle that will be easy to write with) and write the words 'My favourite child today is' across the t-shirt and leave it to dry.
Next, cut out a couple of pieces of coloured felt. You'll need one for each child, plus one for any pets!
Take your fabric paint again, write the name of each child on a piece of felt and leave it to dry.
When your fabric paint is dry, cut a piece VELCRO® Brand Stick On for Fabrics Tape and stick the loop side (aka the soft side) onto your t-shirt.
Then stick a piece of the hook side (aka the scratchy side) on the back of each name tag.
Then all that's left is to present this homemade Mother's Day gift to your mum and let her stick the name of her favourite child on the t-shirt!
